On June 24, 2026, a non-fatal accident occurred with the Mi-8AMT helicopter UP-MI872 of Kazaviaspas JSC near Zarya village in Pavlodar Region, Republic of Kazakhstan. According to the available information, there were 5 crew members and 8 passengers on board, and nobody was killed.
The investigation of the accident is conducted by the Department for Investigation of Accidents and Incidents in Transport of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Based on Annex 13 to the Convention on International Civil Aviation and on Russian aviation legislation, the Interstate Aviation Committee has appointed an accredited representative to the investigation.
The IAC would like to draw attention to the fact that, according to Annex 13 Standards, all official information about the progress and results of an investigation is to be provided by the authorized body of the state conducting the investigation (the Republic of Kazakhstan).
